Biography:
There's not a whole lot to know about me, if i'm honest. i'd like to say that i'm an immensely complicated & enigmatic being, but then i'd be a liar too. With me, what you see is basically what you get.
i'm Laura, 19 years old, big sister to Christy & Joel, daughter to Wendy & Charles, living alone for the first time in a wee town beside the sea on the West of Scotland. i can see Arran across the sea!
i'm a vegetarian, enjoy reading, writing and listening to music and like to keep everything in alphabetical order. i have an obsession with taking photos, carry my camera at all times and spend too much of my life on the internet as a result.
i left school with 5 Highers half way through 6th year, spent the next 6 months volunteering with the Salvation Army and am now working with the young people in a Church of Scotland congregation whilst studying Youth Work (with Applied Theology) at Glasgow's International Christian College. i love it!
i have amazing friends whom i love to pieces & an incredible family who i equally adore, but the most important 'person' in my life is this guy i like to call God. [Read my testimony to find out why.]
i like to turn the littlest, most insignificant things into the biggest adventures and can generally be found by my giggles. i like huggles from people i know and smiles from people i don't; i like coffee shops and play parks; i doodle constantly, have a song for every occassion and wish i could play the guitar, but can't.
i'm in love with Tanzania and its people, having just spent a fornight over there. i adore winter, but am learning to love sunshine more and more. My favourite animals are giraffes (they're just so... tall!); swimming is my sport; my favourite writers are Sylvia Plath and Francesca Lia Block; and my taste in music and movies change too often to write any of them down.
i have light brown hair with a tendancy to turn pink; my eyes are green, though some would say brown; i'm about 5ft 8" in height; and my dress sense varies from boy's hoodies one day to girly dresses the next. No two days are ever the same in my world!
And besides that, there isn't much more i can tell!
